As most of you know, most of my stories aren't short..., this one's no exception....
Our early 20 something married daughter works right next door to my work. Her office is literally 150' from where I work.
In the summer she stopped in to see me one day and wanted to borrow my driver's license. I trust her, I know she has good judgement so I know she won't do something stupid with it. I hand it to her and when she returns it, I didn't really question her and by now had long forgotten about it.
Today on my lunch break I get a message from the receptionist to go see my daughter real quick. Sounds urgent so I leave my plate of food, grab my jacket and dash next door, full speed into her office. She's standing there with a large envelope in her hand and her cell phone in her other hand. She turns on the video recorder and hands me the envelope. I see it's from Manitoba Public insurance and I can tell right away it's license plates, so I know she's ordered me a personalized plate for my Strato Chief. I can't imagine what she would put on it though... As you'll see on the video, as I slide it out, I see "66", so far so good because at least she got the year right.
And the video tells the rest of the story. All you regulars on this forum will know who put her up to this as soon as you see the rest of the plate! I kinda slipped when I said how I felt about him. I'm not a guy who swears but this came pretty close!
As I say...just plain old "COOL". Most times it's the little things in life that give us the greatest memories...enjoy. But they still look..........fake! Did you go to DMV to make sure they were real???? Wouldn't put it past Johnnee to send fake plates!!!

Very good one, I enjoy people who think like this, JD, your daughter, and you for putting those plates on your car. I can't imagine how many times you will now have to explain what those plates mean.

A bunch of years back I was at Scarborough Town Center when I saw a Jeep Cherokee in the lot that some prankster had put a fake paper Ontario license plate over the real plate; the fake plate read, "I'M GAY".
Be glad Johnny isn't malicious or your reputation might end up in question.

There's that old saying "With friends like this, who needs enemies?".....
