It is really amazing what money (big money) can buy but we all get old eventually and you reach a point in life where it really does not matter that much any more. On a much smaller scale i have gotten that way at the age of 60 and just before with most of my old car memorabilia, books, magazines and old car parts. In the last four to five years i have been selling off old car stuff that i cherished since my twenties and thirties. This guy is selling off his collection while this stuff really matters and before he really is too old. In some ways it is sad but at least some one else gets to enjoy it. On a positive note though all these cars are just amazing works of automotive art and hopefully go to good homes that will cherish them. Cheers.

Look at the whole auction, unbelievable. The 59 Pontiac el Camino prototype is in it, the tip of the iceberg.
