Just picked up our signed copy of Alan Redway's book on East York 1924 - 1997 and there is Raymond White on page 444 and 445

picture and mention of being chairman of the board of directors (circa 1973).

We grew up near Danforth and Woodbine so this book revives a lot of old memories.

Congrats Ray......nice to know someone in high places........biggrin

Thanks for that shout out BJ and Cam too.

Alan Redway is a very good friend of mine. I started out serving under him early in my career and developed a friendship, more like a mentor I would say. He started writing that book about two years ago and did interview me and combed through my personal archives of photos as well. I was a little disappointed this year when Alan couldn't attend our family Christmas open house on the 15th  due to ill health, he's 83 now,  but I do speak to him on the phone regularly and exchange emails weekly, in fact had one exchange today already. 

I was in New York the weekend when the booked launched so I don't even have my own copy yet, it sold out quickly.
