Christmas, a time for giving

Beginning of last summer our postal Lady was replaced with some guy. Our postal lady never brought our packages to the door just left a card to pick up package next day at post office. Post office is a 20km round trip. New guys delivers our packages right to the door. If he sees me out side he drives up to meet me with our letters. Great guy so wife says I`m getting this guy something special for Christmas. If you have not guest it, you know who shows up the week before Christmas hauling in all the giftsfurious Bet she`s back off the first of the yeardisbelief

That's terrible! We have the same problem. Even if we are home the woman puts the card in our mailbox. The local post office has terrible hours (9-2pm). I'm actually surprised I still have a mailbox as I swear the plow driver is half corked (or stoned) when he goes by. Hit's it every time. I've actually had to take a hammer and dolly to it to straighten it out enough so the door will close!

In Simcoe County, north of The Big Smoke, we have a county worker who goes around replacing mail boxes smacked by the snow plow. Just need to report and they'll replace it free.

I don't know if the PEI Gov't has the budget for that.

My wife worked for the rural post office for a while(private contract) and was told by most residents that in their 15 years she was the only one to deliver parcels. Most days her truck was full and there were some nasty driveways that were overgrown and full of pot holes. Soon as she left...cards back in the mailbox! When you pay to mail a parcel to an address it should show up at the address as far as I'm concerned or there should be a discount for pick up?

Our carrier is Jill and she is the absolute best .I've known her to come back later in the day to deliver parcels .When I heard that we set up a safe drop location around the house .We never get one of those cards to tell us to pick up tomorrow .Needless to say Jill always gets a nice little package from us at Christmas .
