Remote or manual? I can get a pic of the remote mirror on the 2+2.

The 69 drivers door standard mirror is the same as on all US 69 Pontiacs, rectangular and non-remote. The repro sold by Ames etc is better than the NOS ones that are all loose and floppy right out of the box. While never offered from the factory, a second mirror could be mounted on the right hand door. I'm not sure what the repro comes with but you need a gasket, mounting bracket and three screws (two bracket to door and one stainless Phillips for mirror to bracket. Everything is offered repro.

The remote mirror option was also the same as 69 US fullsize, not offered in repro but the A body version is and the difference is very minor. These mirrors can't be mounted on the passenger side.

First pic is manual mirror on my 2+2 and second pic is the remote optional mirror (shown on an A body but the only difference is a slight angle difference to the pedestal to account for the shape of the door).  Both use the same gasket but the remote mirror has no mounting bracket, instead it has studs that go through the door and are secured with nuts.

On the passenger side my car has always had the mirror, matching the driver's side, and it's not on the GM doc. Does that mean it was dealer installed?

My GM Camaro of same year has none!

I'd say dealer installed. Does it swivel over far enough to be useful from the driver's seat?

Dealers or individuals could install a right hand mirror but it was never offered as a factory option in 69. If you care about care show originality points it was never offered as an official dealer installed option either (meaning it wasn't catalogued). The non-remote can mount on either side of the car.

I like the look of having two non-remote mirrors on the car but not when you have a remote on one side and the non-remote on the other. As I mentioned if you add a right one be sure to get a repro rather than NOS as the NOS ones are all too loose and they will flop around every time you close a door or even from the wind.

what is the best place to order the Ames .mirrors. I think I will go for 2 to be sure they match. I am always fiddling with the passenger side and can't reach it when sitting behind the steering wheel. Sure would be nice to set and forget.

If you never want to move it again, loctite the swivel and set it. I heard it works.

Had a 69 LeSabre and looked for 9 years for a passenger side mirror. Have never seen one installed on a car.
It is in the parts book just the last digit is different from the drivers side as one would expect.
Only ever found ads for 2. First was badly pitted and seller wanted $100. Second was NOS and seller had a buy it now at $400 Cdn. Needless to say I didn't buy either.

From Ames Performance in the U.S. : http://www.amesperf.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIse2h2ovU3wIVgVqGCh0TdAGOEAAYASAAEgINm_D_BwE

I bought (2) correct ones for my '64.

That's how my Laurentian was delivered from the dealership (two non-remote mirrors).  Must have been done when they recolored it I guess.

The red 2+2 convertible has nothing on the passenger side, and that's how it shall remain!

2 mirrors from Ames arrived today.   49.00 each/  49.00 shipping and then 25.00 duty for the postman.

I will wait to open the box till I get teh car out then cross my fingers that the Bonneville mirror will fit correctly.

Photo looked correct.

$25 duty?  Or GST and your Ontario tax plus $10 Canada Post brokerage fee equaling $25?    Antique Auto Parts are duty exempt.
