Horn Contact

Does anyone have a picture of what the horn contact should look like for a 1968 Beaumont without tilt? Mine just seems to have a spring coming out of it.

Google Part number 474102 contact, that is still available from GM, and you will get a good picture of it, # 5 Insulator, 6 plunger & 7 Spring go exactly in that order,

the insulator with the little knob on the side locks in the plunger into # 14 the signal cancelling cam that has a notch built into it to accept the insulator,

make sure the flat side of the plunger is overtop the spring, then the plunger sticks out of the steering wheel and makes contact with the Belville spring.

the insulator slides over the plunger against the flat side of the plunger.

 Hope it helps

And if I remember right the copper (or brass, I forget) pin that pokes through the spring might be too long for some applications. It's a kit that fits quite a few GM's of that era and in some cases you have to shorten up the pin. Easy to do though.
