Started looking into this for my El Camino. This one needs an external regulator unlike the fi tech. Both systems cannot control timing with a HEI distributor.
Thinking I'll buy the basic $795 Fitech with an intank pump.

They based it very closely to the FI Tech model. It uses high pressure to make it work

so yes it needs a high pressure pump and lines. FI Tech has a Fuel Command center which still uses

stock fuel pump to supply and pushes high pressure out. 995 US dollars plus command center.

They have a more basic unit at $795 that doesnt control the fan or spark. Thats the one Im leaning to.
