Beauty of a day though, calm, not a cloud in sight, the sunrise was gorgeous. It's been -30 that last two days. I put on good boots, ski pants, nice thick toque and went for a walk both days. I came back sweating under that stuff. When it's calm, it's easy to keep warm. If it's windy I don't walk.

I debated taking my 66 to the car wash yesterday to wash under the hood. I need to do that before I pull the engine. The streets are perfect is these temps. Problem is, I haven't transferred over my "FAKE 66" plates yet, and I didn't really want a ticket for improper use of plates.

-17 here in the Banana Belt.

-24 tonight.

The Sun dogs were out this morning in full colour. We don't get to see them that often here. The great part of this cold, is that it pushed that Southern storm away from us.

We only got a touch of snow.

Sorry about your luck New York State.

Look out Todd,

Here it comes !

It's snowing here now but from what I've read the worst of it is west of us (northern New Brunswick). Looks like heavy rains on the way and then a skating rink..

Definitely no mosquitoes down here in Apache Junction. Clear, sunny skies and highs around + 22 degrees for the next 10 days.

It dropped some snow here (along with winds), but all of it and a lot of the older snow has melted with the high temps. (+8 C) and the rain we got. No freezing rain, no power loss. So, this "storm" was actually good for us! It is  currently +1 C.

Worked out well for me. I actually have less ice now than before the storm, so it was a beneficial storm for me too.
