There is a class action going on dishwashers too, I was actually directly mailed the documents , some problem with  Kitchen Aid, Which I bought and was actually the biggest piece of junk I ever had. If I had not purchases the annual service agreements I would have been bankrupted.

I think you can still make a claim George if you don't have the receipt but you "only" get $15. I bought a Lawnboy in 2010 so I'm in!

I think I bought a lawn mower in 1994 and replaced it in 2012. I also bought a Kitchen Aid dishwasher in 2007 & replaced it in 2017.

So what is the basis of this class action? Why are the manufacturers being sued? Mine always started & ran as expected, it was just that the deck rusted out on the '94 & Sears had a start of season sale one spring day when I walked in. New one has Kohler power.

I don't believe horsepower numbers generally, I look more to the displacement to generate torque. Horsepower is mainly bragging rights.

So I wonder if all the braggarts that sell their cars and claim 450 horsepower are liable? Probably not, because lawyers go after corporations where they can actually sue and get money.

Lawyers, are they defenders of the little guy, or equal opportunity parasites? Yes!

Right on, I have a John Deere PZ14. I might even be able to find the receipt. Does seem like a lot work for $35 that you have to wait a year for.

I've told this story here before but some of you may not have heard it.

In 1997 our dealership sold a new Camaro SS. The customer was constantly beaten when he drag raced his friend's 95 Camaro. Both LT1 6 speeds but the 97 had SLP exhaust and ram air so it should have been faster.

He took the 97 and got it dynoed. I forget the figures but it came in under what GM rated it at.

He sued. I know you're thinking he sued GM?

Nope, he sued our dealership in small claims court and it cost us $5000.

Don't ask me how ANY judge with 1/2 a brain would award him $5000 when we were the dealer, not the manufacturer. 20 years later I still can't believe it.

Is there any lower a life form than a lawyer, maybe a politician. We in Canada are almost as bad as Americans, when it comes to lawsuits. This whole deal here is just to pad these lawyers pocket books. I hope the judge throws this out the back door into the garbage bin where it belongs.

It's already been settled so I don't think that will happen.
