Not the warmest night in Manitoba

While it's still cold enough outside put a continuity tester across the two flat terminals on the cord hanging out and see if the connection is there.

If you wait much longer it will be too warm out to test the heater.

STUPID setup those cord ends, I get mad every time I think about them or talk about them.

Ya I did that and on the other side into the cord and nothing. The next step would be to unplug from block heater and test that but to cold.

I don't quite understand what you mean Ian. The two probes on the two flat terminals on the cord male end test good for continuity? Of there is no continuity at those two flat terminals?

Yes tested but no continuity then I probed into just the cord bypassing the plug and still no continuity. So is a break further down or is the block heater in the block .

Ok, gotcha.

We have seen some failures on those heaters. And you've never used it!
