Parisienne -68 2+2 Convertible renovation

Bilen var bra men jag ville förbättra och avsluta restaureringen började.

There are probably not so many cars in this model in Sweden.

I can't see, is it a 396 or 427?

That's great, and it makes the car very uncommon with a 396.

That 741 count is for convertibles, all engine types.

With that engine, the count would be much less. I'd say less that 50, but that's just a guess.

Usually when Vintage Vehicle Services documents the car, they can provide how many 1968 Canadian Pontiac's came with that L35 engine. Maybe contact them again to see if they missed providing that. That won't tell you how many convertibles, but will be good information.

I asked the same question of Vintage Services when I requested the paper on my 68 2+2 396 hardtop, several years ago.

He couldn't give me specifics, but he guessed between 100 and 150 396 hardtops.

Don't know why VS can't break it down by model AND engine, but apparently they can't, at least for 1968.

Scott

Scott

THEY WERE ABLE TO TELL ME "30 W/L36 SAME MODEL# ONLY" FOR MY '68 GP.

AS WELL THEY WERE ABLE TO TELL ME 17 W/L36 AND LISTED BOTH 2DR SPORT COUPE AND 2DR CONV. FOR MY '68 PAR. SPORT COUPE. NO BREAKDOWN BETWEEN HT AND CONV. THOUGH.

I'd love to know how GMVVS has their information organized. It sounds like all that information needs to be placed in a database in such a way that any question regarding production numbers could be provided. If you've seen a Marti Report the Ford guys have access to you'll see lot's of information such has how many cars were a certain colour etc.

Exactly Todd. Makes 1 wonder if it's still all manual.

I'm liking the subject car and all the attention he's paying to it.

Tommy. Im going to say you have a one of one in Sweden. Especially with the Big Block. Looking good. Both the car and the repairs youre doing. Youll definitely be the centre of attention at cruise night this summer.

Thank you John for your help to find parts to the car.

And thank you for the answer when I ask something about the car :)
