66 SD rag is almost alive

Love the build, thank you for sharing.

One note. When I added the champion rad to my 69 Parisienne, champion's rad cap didn't seal and I ended up using the one from the original rad.

Exhaust is done and it sounds great, I am still fighting power steering/hydroboost problems. The tee they give you for the return is less than ideal so I ordered a pump designed for hydroboost but it is long water pump, so pulley is getting reworked and hopefully it works. I have room in garage as truck is heading overseas for an auction in November, big reserve, stay tuned. I will be ordering an aluminum driveline soon and working on my 12 bolt to get it installed with disc brakes.  #NOTASHOWCAR

Had my 12 bolt rebuilt with a brand new Yukon Posi and 3:73 gears, decided to stick with drum brakes for now, have other things more pressing to spend money on. I did put an aluminum driveshaft in as well so am pretty well 100% finished with the bottom of the car. Car should be painted by mid March, one for final block and she is done.

Sneak peek, slowly getting there, I like custom but also staying true to originality if that makes sense. I have about 16 hours into repairing that repop hood, I cut and welded a stock Malibu nose onto it.

I love the difference in paint finish when you sand and polish clear coat-the difference is hard to believe until you actually do it and see it for yourself.Time consuming but very gratifying in the end-very anxious to see your car all painted etc..Loving the build thread-incredible amount of work!

The self quarantining is giving me a chance to get this car back together. Nice to know that the hard work is behind me and it will be ready for summer.

That is just gorgeous. As others have commented it has been exciting to follow your build. I hope our paths cross sometime so I can see it in the flesh. Just curious how you made out with your truck?

Truck is in a warehouse in LA awaiting a transport truck to bring it home, Saudi was a big flop, less than 6 out of 450 cars sold, it cost the Prince 75 million I heard. I will have this at the Port Coquitlam car show this year if this Covid mess is gone by the then, and thinking the Penticton show as well.

I am using TMI seat covers and for now just cleaning up my original panels as I have spent enough on this car until next winter.

I ordered from Legendary at the first of the year and had no call from them. 3 calls to after sales answering machine and no reply. I called the order desk and they picked up right away. Rear arm rests and sun visor the only thing not completed. No good to ship out now as I cant get to my mail box to pick up

Is the story written for the feature car? We've certainly been following this story with anticipation....
