value of 64 custom sport rag?

My wife and I have been contemplating freeing up some space and listing our convertible. We love it but but Pros and cons to sell or keep add up to it being time for us to think about moving on.

I am wondering what is really a realistic value for one?  Any opinions?

Not perfect but presents well

true custom sport

327 250HP

4 speed auto 700R4

reverb Radio

rebuilt engine and transmission

all new control arm bushings

all new shocks and coils

all new exhaust and flo-pro mufflers

recovered seats and all new carpet

bewer boot cover

new convertible top motor and fully services 5 years ago

power steering

power brakes

rubber Pontiac blue floor mats

So...just my op here but I think there's a good dollar to be fetched for your ride south of the line. I've spent a whole lot of time very recently looking at nothing but 63's & 64's (full size) on the web. There seems to be a lot of rag tops down south...guess that's obvious..This all before I lucked right out and found my new purchase close to home! I looked and looked south of the line(hope I'm not pissin anyone off saying that) and It seemed that between 30 and 40 thou you could get one a very nice ride..American $'s of course. I was shopping between 20 to 30 and found what I thought to be some very good buys..got hooked on a 64 421 4 spd car power guts, tilt steering original car..mid 20's U.S. When I was a kid we all wanted the American models for their different trim options...now it seems our cars cause quite a stir in the southern marketplace! Who'd a thunk it? Your car,Urban, looks awesome! From what I've seen I think you could market it between 35 and 40 thousand in the American marketplace..I hope that's not offensive. North of the line I'm thinking high 20's... For some reason it seems to me that we don't get the big bucks up here..Many large $'s stateside tho wink

Thats a a great opinion we were thinking of listing it around the 22 mark as we know it needs some attention but is a great driver. Mostly silly things that I know of. There just doesnt seem to be any comparables out there right now

I'd say it's easily a 20k car (in Canada).....especially with all the work and $$$ you put into it...

Not sure about the American market....

.My experience with that...is they are curious...and interested...but not buying into Pontiacs with chevy engine and chassis...JMO

Good one! Not much more sensitive than the "big block" Pontiac phrase!

I'm sure that I've posted this before......But we really should be thankful that the Americans don't want to buy our Canadian Pontiacs...

Because...if they did.....then they would buy them all.....and there would be none left here.....for us Canadians....to ENJOY...

You are likely not far off listing it there if, like you say, it needs attention.

As the saying goes, you can always drop your price but it's tough to raise it.

Maybe not the best time of year right now though. Can you wait a couple of months until the fever hits?

Yea we are in no rush nor do we need to sell it. We have just been doing some evaluations on life and the fact that there is only two of us and three cars. We didnt expect the wagon. When we do the pro and con list it makes most sense to move on for our family. That being said we dont have to give it away and are not pressured to have to sell, we will enjoy it as we do in the meantime.
