She's 50 !

Ok, I promised you all that this car would be redone for this occasion but it's hard to find the right body man to take this car seriously.

1969 doc.jpg

All they want to do are Mustangs and GTO's.

1969 beach.jpg

Last year when I put the mags on, I got more interest but the good shops are so busy, they can pick and choose.

Maybe, this year.

And yes Mark, Duel exhaust too !

Happy birthday old girl !

Maybe the only thing she really needs,

Is an OLD MILL dealer emblem biggrin

Happy birthday. Why not invest in some autobody training and do it yourself?

Hey Mark,

The right side rocker trim on the last pic is from your collection.

My stainless was crushed by the previous owner.

Thanks, again !

She looks pretty darn hot for 50 Randy. I think I'd be happy with it just the way it is. If you paint it, you'll spend a whole pile of money getting it done and then you'll be scared to drive it.

I got a lot of advice from a lot of great people on this car.

I did a tour of some of the best classic cars restorers in my area.

The best advice was from the people who liked the car but were booked solid.

Then I got referred to a no B.S. guy.

"You don't get in there" I'm told.

The bondo on the door is starting to separate and those spots old rear 1/4s are really starting to break out.

So it's put up or shut up.

The car will go in soon.

It's hard to believe I owned this car for seven years now.

No intentions of ever selling it so it's time to give the car a treat.

The nice part is that the car is cleaner than I thought.

I'll get the rims done too, for when I want the "Dealership look"

Will you have visitation when she's in jail?

Yep, every time he needs more money biggrin

We agreed on a step by step process on the car.

I think most shops do this now.

No hard quote until he sees what is under those failed patches.

And because of you Mark, and your generosity over the years,

This car will look awesome when it's done.

Looks like a solid car! I like the original wheels as well, it looks sharp with the originals and also with the fancy wheels as well. Fine looking car.

I guess I never looked at this thread before and I see its fairly old but looking at the GMVVS documents I see a rather interesting item and that is the engine number.

I don't think I have seen a 350 2bbl being sourced from Tonawanda NY before (Code T). I expected to see a St. Catharines ON McKinnon engine, Code K. I have seen Tonanwanda sourced 350 300 HP engines in '69 Canadian Pontiacs but not the standard 350 2bbl.
