In '67 the Skylarks all came with fender skirts as standard. The Special & the GS models did not. As far as skirts go they don't look bad because they were styled together with the car. They are flush and don't have any awkward, wayward bulges like the typical aftermarket ones.

Ditch the skirts and adjust the wheel-well moldings accordingly, run the Special grille, add small dummy scoops on the hood and you basically have a GS.

I love this Buick in so many ways. My dad bought a new 67 Buick Special sedan that had the standard cast iron Buick V-6 and 2 speed automatic. It was my dads first car with an automatic and power steering. My dad had the car from spring 1967 until 1986, when i sold the car. My dad had given it to me in 1984 and like a dumb ass i sold it later. I learned how to drive on this car and i always thought it was a solid well built car with lots of power, good gas mileage and some class. It was obviously a step above a Chevelle, Cutless or Tempest. The car had the GS grill, not the less attractive Skylark grill. I love this car with or without the skirts and being a two door post would make this car rare. I hope she goes to a good home and not a house of horrors.

Like the colours. Love the car. Don't mind the skirts on this make/model ... it's a Buick after all.
