Information please

my 66 Pontiac has got the orignal rad in it. When I,m driving it it's good but if I get caught in a traffic jam then it over heats real bad. I flushed it out new tempo. In it thinking of buying a new rad any ideas of what kind should be looking at my Pontiac is the same as a 66chev impala convertible thanks

YUP. ALUMINUM.
Do a rad an cooling flush first. Really good rinse. Tear system apart. New hoses. Water pump. Stock are cheap enough. New hoses.

The key is with aluminum is a perfect 50 50 mix.
YOU MUST USE DISTILLED WATER.
DON'T CHEAP OUT ON THIS.
DON'T forget a new thermostat and you will be good to roll in any heat.
Oh and a fan shroud.
Be proud use a shroud.
Good luck bud

If looking to keep the stock look without a shroud, a 6 bladed 17" fan would be a good upgrade over the 4 blade. I think it would make a good pairing with an aluminum rad.

That non balanced look of this Afco fan I'm told makes it quieter.

Will the above link be the exact part for a 65 BBC Parisienne? Or will I need to shop the website by application?

Jay, I'm assuming you meant the rad link?

Will you change to a Drivers side upper hose for the BB? If so, it should work no issue. Carl has installed the one linked in his 66.

Although no biggie to change, if you are still going with a passenger side upper, then perhaps this one,
