Yes they are talking at worst it will be like 2009 which you guys all got to see pictures of. However I'm only a spectator now that we live in town. Our buyer was at my house on Saturday and I told him when the time comes near I'd go out to the farm and help him by showing and explaining what needs to be done. He will be fine but I can put his mind at ease by showing him a few things.

 That's a great "home warranty".

They were aware of the potential of flooding when they bought. He actually grew up about 1/2 mile from where the boat is pulled up to the sign but he was on the other side of the highway where it doesn't flood as bad.

The worst thing that can happen is a sort of semi flood. Not enough water to have easy boating but enough water to take out some roads. I hope he doesn't have to deal with that.

The easiest was 1997. I went wherever I wanted with the boat. Down the road past our house which had 5' of water on it just like driving a car! Even the railway past our house was more than 3' under, so no worries boating over it.

Sounds like one of the following would be a requirement to live in that location:

Nah it's just a bit of a speed bump every so often in the Red River Valley.
