Anyone run a CS130 alternator on a 60's SBC?

Just wondering if it's possible to run a CS type alternator on a 67 short water pump 327..without bracket modification? I'm looking at the CS130.

I like the idea that the CS series has much better output at idle than the SI series alternators. If I can't do a CS, I'll run a 95 amp 12SI.

Anyone done it?

Cheers, Mark

Did you put heated seats in your car Mark!smilebiggrin Just wondering why you need the output? With todays cars..I can understand. Power everything, mirriors, seats, gps, trac controll options r endless. Run an Si on my 283( just to get rid of the external reg). Good bat and Si alt will more than keep up.
