Ya, they go on about the engine and don't show it. Why not put the original 3 x 2 barrel carbs back on if you still have the original intake.

Pontiac tri power carbs are extremely hard to find. When I had my 60 Catalina I had a correct date coded intake but never did find the carbs (or if I did they were over a grand for what were pretty much beat up cores). An early Pontiac guy told me there were a lot of carb fires with tri-power setups back in the day. The carbs would be destroyed but the intakes would survive, thus the shortage. Sounds plausible.

Yes a tri power 421 wouldn't be an SD. HO possibly but not SD.
