I always liked these cars, it looks nice!!

I Find it interesting these cars weren't actually Lincolns, only Continental MK II, II, IV etc.

They don't say Lincoln on them anywhere and factory brochures don't call them Lincoln.

Even the underhood Engine plaque, when, present says "POWER BY CONTINENTAL", not Lincoln.

I guess it stems from the 1956 Continental MK II, a product of Fords then new, Continental Division.

I get a kick out of old dealer brochures and signs that state both Lincoln and Continental.

More confusing is there was a big Lincoln Continental, just not a Lincoln Continental MK!!

I think it took until the MK VII to actually display the  Lincoln name.

Thanks

Randy

I used to love it when Cannon would hop out of his car, chase down and catch a physically fit bad guy.biggrin

Actually I am wondering if this car is one of the designer series that were offered in 1976 - more specifically the Givenchy version

I remember one of my bosses had the Bill Blass version and it had a plaque with his name on it by the glove box
