Only in Ontario

Ontario is scraping the Trillium logo of 3 men in a hot tube.

Doesn't surprise me when you read where this logo originated.

Its about time for a new licence plate and should be rear only.  Ontario must have the  most plain plate in North America ?

I am a big fan of dropping the front plate for regular run of the mill drivers but not our oldies. I like to show off my special plates on my 57 and 74.

That is hilarious!   as a non-ontario person,  i couldnt figure out what the heck the hottub reference was until i saw the logo.  What an ugly thing that is!

Yes. Ugly. I like the old trillium symbol.

As a former Ontarian, I think the proposed "Open For Business" slogan (instead of "Yours To Discover") on licence plates is crap.

PEI has had some good past licence plate slogans also, only to be replaced by crap.

I agree, the "Open for Business" is stupid...If changed at all,it should be changed to "Yours to Recover"

Why does it need changing ? There are lot of other issues that should be addressed. Ill stop there.

Personally there are other things in Ontario that need to be dealt with, not some trivial slogan and logo. But if I lived in Ontario, I would suggest Ontario consider bringing back "Keep it Beautiful".

As a fellow Ontario tax payer and voter i would tend to agree. Far more important issues here to tend to.  I know NO POLITIC'S. So i will leave it at  that. Cheers.

How about "Just east of all the good cars" for a slogan?

The OPP will oppose this I'm sure as they have technology that reads on coming plates.

Several bad guys recently have been caught this way.

LOL... I really don't have any use for the stuff, but when I read A Place To Grow, that's the first thing that came to mind.

I always thought "Yours To Discover" was a great slogan.  Keep It Beautiful wasn't bad but seemed a little too much like an anti-littering campaign.

Open For Business, or A Place To Grow... not so much.  Just my opinion, of course.

Brings to mind that a few years ago the city of Barrie, ON used to use the slogan " Ontario's fastest growing community "
They dropped the slogan when the police busted a rather large grow op in the old Molson brewery building.

I am with George - Still running "Keep it Beautiful" plates on two of our cars. I wonder if we can run them if we want. Just not mandatory?!?!?

Here in PEI (where we only have a rear plate) many folks have interesting plates on the front - vintage plates, plates from the southern state the car came from etc etc.
