Just got back from a little road trip to Lancaster PA. Wife went to a Quilt show, I went to Strasberg to the Railway museum of Pennsylvania. Spent 3 hours walking around, checking it all out. Unreal, overwhelming even. It is huge!
Kind of got to liking GG1 4935 they have in there. Never used to like the design much, but when you see it in person you realize how much of a beast it is. Call me converted. Many more engines and rolling stock of note. Fantastic HO layout upstairs. Tons of RR memorabilia and interpretive exhibits. A must see.
I know there are a few guys here who are railfans, so I thought my visit was worth mentioning. Worth mentioning as well is the beauty of the area, hugely Amish, the farms are a sight to behold, and the people are super friendly.
Cheers,
GG1,
