Selling my 88 Jeep YJ in order to purchase a truck.
4.2 Straight 6, Torqueflite trans. 164000km. Previous owners removed tub from frame and restored the frame. Pretty much every YJ north of Georgia needs frame repairs. This one was done correctly and is extremely robust. Frame was also coated on the inside as well as the outside. Brake, fuel lines etc still shiny as is the exhaust. All mounts including engine mounts were replaced. Stock suspension. 31" tires have less than 2000km.
I've had it almost 3 years. I replaced the fuel sending unit, fuel and vent hoses and shocks. I also converted the problematic ignition system to a CRT Performance HEI distributor. The Carter "feedback" carb has also been switched out to a Gronk Performance Motorcraft 2100 carburetor (manual choke) which vastly improves driveability. Paint (HEMI Orange) is in excellent condition. Top (original Jeep not a repro) is like new. I have two hardtops to go with it- one needs work, the other a good cleaning. Brakes etc like new. LED taillights. Runs and drives very well.
With everyone wanting a luxury car on a truck frame these days, the plain janes are really dropping in price.
It's not a 4x4.
