Have owned 2 53 Chevs
In 53 my Dad bought a new 2dr 150 model with zero options. I bought it in 67 with only 49,xxx miles. Drove it for 2 years and left it on the side of the road with 59,xxx miles when the timing chain quit.
Then bought a 53 BelAir convertible which I ran for about 4 years, stored for about 10 years, rebuilt and smashed up about an hour before my sisters wedding. It was to be the wedding car. Rebuilt it again and then lost it in a storage building fire on May 9, 1995.
