I can't figure it. They must have sent you one that looks like it but is a different width. Mine was a perfect fit. I guess you'll have to try calling them?

And if you call them, do NOT mention it's a Canadian Pontiac. Call it a 66 Impala. I know for a fact that the Impala radiator is identical to the Parisienne and if you tell them you have a Pontiac.....................well, you know..................

Do any of you guys here have a 66 Pontiac (or Impala) 283? If so, can you measure your rads across the mounting holes to see if they are 24 1/4 or 27 1/4? Mine was 27 1/4. There's gotta be an obvious solution to this.

I remeasured my rad holes the holes that hold the spacer to the rad support is 27 inches

now the holes that attaches the rad to the spacer is 25inches centre to centre

this spacer I got is from a 66 Pontiac with a 283 which should be the same as 66 impala

waiting for autocity to get back to me the rad they sent me is bigger than  the one from my car height wise.

I will try to look at my 283 spacer when I get a chance. My 427 rad spacer is 27 1/4.

Does your rad have the space between the bracket that bolts on to your spacer and rad it self

Yes, I pulled out the 283 spacer and installed the thinner 427 spacer. I still have my old one. I'll check it. I agree, I do think you have the right rad, 27 1/4".

carl tomorrow I,m going to take off my rad spacer and bolt the new rad right to the rad support we,lol see if that works.

did you have to change the fittings on the bottom of the rad also did you have to make your transmission lines longer

You're not crazy Martin. My 283 spacer is the same as your's.  They make that rad to bolt to the cradle or to the big block spacer but not the 283/327 spacer it seems.
