Mrs. Urban_Suburban and I were invited to take her car to the International Station Wagon Club's Annual car show. It moves around the states every year and this year was only a 2 hour drive from home. We decided to give it a go. Small show, but a great show. lots of nice wagons. Great dinner later too. We also had a nice surprise as the Mrs. took home an award for her car.

Good job on the win !  Say that Roadmaster looks a lot like the daily driver of Bill Markowski from near Buffalo, he's Billy Goat on here with a 73 GTO and 73 GT.

Mike and Allison, congrats on the win with your sweet 64 wagon. I am confused i never knew of this event because i would have been there with my 74 Chev wagon. I went back in 2001 in Dearborn, Mich. and 2006 in Niagra Falls, N.Y. Thanks for sharing.

We only knew of it because of a member invite. International Station wagon club or ISWC you can find it. Not sure we will go next year as its going to be too far away for us for the time of year.

I don't have a  trophy to award you but I would certainly shake your hand. Your '64 looks fantastic! All those wagons in your photos look good though. Although in '68 Chevy didn't produce a Chevelle SS wagon they did seriously propose one. Finally in '73 there was an actual Chevelle SS wagon.

 

Evil Knievel's wagon would have been one expensive custom job back in '71.

 

I love wagons, I just bought a 2019 Golf Alltrack 6-speed manual wagon to replace my 2010 Passat 6-speed manual wagon. Anybody want to buy the Passat?  biggrin 254k on it but the balancer shaft seized a week after I replaced the timing chain. I was planning on keeping the car, but wifey suggested that I should look for a new place to live by myself if I did. Ouch boo.gifsmile

What an interesting array of wagons. It's amazing all the little niche groups that exist within the old car hobby.
