Still trackworthy, this 1908 Mors requires a co-pilot to operate! I love the "Total Loss" lubrication system.

Best watched at full screen. Petrolicious video's are always well done.

Wonderful history lesson, truly amazing cars. I often reminisce with my son and try to explain to him how tough and manly his Great Grandfathers and all men from that era were. You'd have to have brass balls to drive that thing in a race.

What a historically significant car, and it is the only one left in the world.

You had to be conscious of everything to operate that car. Just moving along would keep you busy. 750 c.i.d four cylinder means loads of torque. The clutch was probably leather & cork, syncro's in a transmission? What are those? And the brakes... I am reminded of what Ettore Bugatti said about his beautiful racing cars with only wishful braking, "I build my cars to go, not to stop!" Simple times. Yes, you chose your epitaph then you went racing...

How much racing has changed since the days of requiring a mechanic to ride along...

Thanks for posting this, Todd.  It is fascinating to see the early cars in operation like this.
