Hi   Im having issues with electrical with my 63.the car starts oil light comes on on/off dash normal but have no lights anywhere.I have tested an power is going to all.Big issue I noticed when car off there is still power going to all lights an crazy thing is when I touch test light to dash I have power.I was told there is a power wire grounding somewhere if so is there easy way to find or do I have to go over every wire till i find the culprit causing problem.

I'd start pulling fuses and see if that cures something. For lights to work, they need 12V potential difference between one side and the other. If 12V is applied to both sides, they won't light.

By pulling the correct fuse, it may remove the 12V that seems to be getting to ground somehow.

If your test light lights up when it touches the dash, that is definitely a ground issue or lack of ground. Where are you grounding your test light? Battery or body? If its battery, try grounding to the body. If the test light doesnt light anymore, the problem is as Ray said - body ground. To verify use a jumper wire and ground the body. See if your problem goes away.

Thank you everyone , I found a ground cable had been cut from engine to firewall but along the way I discovered the previous owners had a fuse box meltdown at some point and rerouted half of front wire harness. So will need to replace part of or all fuse box.
