I'm confused but that doesn't take much !

Google says this image is 3 days old.

OK, Chevy wheels, I could live with that.

3417494 (3).jpg

AC, Power windows, cool for 1969

3417494 (2).jpg

But then,,,,,,,

3417494.jpg

Stratochief or Laurentian deck lid and tail lights.

Is the rear panel common between all Canadian Ponchos ?

Boy it looks straight !

I'd say those are 68 to 70ish Olds. Cutlass wheels, look like Olds emblems too!!! No "foul" there ,car looks pretty clean.

No idea why it'd have the narrow tail lights. Bolting on a trunk lid is easy, but the tail pan would need to be changed.

I don't think you could get a Laurentian convertible. That AC dash pad would be super hard to find.

If you head to the top of the page, ebay, and search "1969 Bonneville Dash Pad", there are some options

The dash pads are all the same, it's just the metal insert on the passenger side that is unique to A/C. That car also has "Automatic A/C", you can tell by the small sensor in the metal insert on the passenger side. So that metal insert would be very hard to find as not many cars had Automatic A/C.

I think they are Chevy wheels from the seventies, like you'd get on a Nova or Camaro.  They look alright, and are the easiest thing to change regardless.

Have you ever changed that panel in the dash ?

Mark gave me 2 Green dash pads with the 69 Pontiac stuff I bought off him.

I have been told that they are formed in place.

Maybe I'll pull them down and look at them.

Have you ever seen a rim that you hate so much it almost makes you angry? Those Chevy rims do that to me lol. Doesn't matter what they are on. No idea why but I just hate them.

LOL... probably because they are (were) cheap to buy and were on everything.

I liked them on my '76 Nova when I had it.  Don't mind them on a regular Camaro from the mid '70s either.  Not on a Pontiac, though... but they are the easiest thing to change on a car that will make the biggest difference!

Yes, I've changed a few of them.  They're a friction fit, and you need to be very careful as the corners are quite tight, and the old plastic cover of the dash can easily crack.    Use 2 or 3 putty knives and make a lap around just mind of breaking the seal.   Then start in the middle to bow it out a bit, then work your way to an end.  If I recall, you really only need to focus on one end, as once you pop it out the other end comes out easily.
