1967 Cheetah

Here it is if you have not seen this in a while.

The owner brings it out every blue moon or so.  George Pappas, some of you know or remember him

No it's not or ever will be for sale.

I know the Cheetah was done by Conroy Pontiac in Vancouver, but is there any connection to GM Canada production or is it strictly a Copo type of situation? And was Copo connected to GM USA? I 100% agree this is a fantastic car, but wonder if it is great because of the way someone chose to modify a Beaumont, or it has some other heritage connection to GM.

If you haven't read this thread, pull up a chair, pour yourself what flavour you prefer and have a read.

The best part.of that thread started by Todd was the begging and pleading for pictures.

The car looks super impressive especially in person.

Thanks for the photos! It'd be nice to feature a Cheetah.

Not a COPO situation at all. It was a dealer modified car. It would be interesting to know if the engines were warranty blocks or came from some other source...

Just as I thought Here in BC we have collector plates (has to be original) and modified collector plates, so this car would get the modified collector plates. Fantastic car no matter how you look at it.

the COPO cars where 100% GM , ordered thru your local GM dealer or from designated dealers  from the GM option sheet. Most if not all were the Chevy line, Chevelles, Nova and Camaros

Doesn't get any better than a Cheetah! ...I personally think all the Conroy dealer added 427 & Hurst badges make it look ridiculous. Also not a fan of the Talbot mirrors. Why does this Cheetah have a red stripe? I've always assumed the D98 option was white/black.
