Our first really nice day in at least 2 weeks. When you don't really have the time to spare but the calendar says "September" you seize the moment. 23*, plenty of sun, little breeze, perfect day for at least a quick ride.

I had to stop for fuel when I went out.

I imagine most of you at one time or another have stopped at a gas station and had one of those younger people approach you with the can and the cloth wanting to demonstrate their super-duper one step cleaner/wax/refinishing/miracle chemical that restores your car from top to bottom.....

Just started putting fuel in and the girl approaches me-

Me: (big smile on my face) You're not touching my car, I'm sorry!

Her: Ok, sweet car, what year is it?

Me: 66, it's old.

Her: It's not as old as my parents!

Yeah your car looks great Carl. Im wondering if youve kept track how many times you have to give the explanation for your license plate. Cant pick your relatives but should be able to pick your friends.
