I play a little tennis and pickle ball but really enjoy watching tennis. Our 19 year old star Bianca Andreescu is in the final of one of the biggest majors, the US open. Has been fun watching her upset one after another.

She is in the final
Will be a good one to watch if only I could find it on my TV.
Rogers basic.

Huge tennis fans in our house, attend Rogers Cup almost every year. We were glued to the TV tonight watching Bianca, tense match against a solid competitor. Looking forward to Saturday at 4 pm.

We arent really big tennis fans in our house but we were spellbound with every aspect of her match last night. The Bombers play on Saturday at the same time as Bianca and Serena hit the court. Well hear all about the Bomber game later! Being excited about a tennis final is a first for me! Seems to be the main topic of conversation around here.

As well as being fierce competitors they appear to have a great deal of admiration and respect for one another. That alone will make for a momentous event, no matter the outcome. Going to be fun to watch!

Watched almost every one of her matches so far, including the ones that finished up quite late at night!  Incredible composure for such a young player, and amazing tennis skills and intellect.  Call me a fan.

I only hope our power stays on long enough tomorrow to see the match!

Well looks like she is for real. Not a fluke to keep knocking off ladies at this level and finishing it off with Serana. Should be a line up for endorsements as she is such a breath of fresh air. Hoping to see her live again in Indian Wells this winter.

Real classy of the crowd cheering when she served the ball into the net. Good on announcer to to set them straight

A great win and with that typically Canadian modesty. Now erases any doubts about her abilities after Serena was forced to pull out at the Rodgers Cup last month.

Congrats to Bianca.....finally Canada can say "we're number one"....instead of two or three.

A radio announcer on Friday said if she wins she will probably apologize being Canadian eh.

Sure enough during her interview she said most fans wanted Serena to win -"I'm sorry" - she says..smile

Her win goes a long way in establishing a Canadian presence at the top of Tennis.......very exciting....biggrin

I love the year Canada is having, between this and the NBA title. I don't follow tennis but it's still exciting when David beats Goliath!

Fantastic win!  And LOL when she apologized to the fans for winning!  biggrin

The Raptors championship was fantastic, but unfortunately overwhelmed by the fanfare from Kawhi's leaving.

What makes this better is that Bianca IS Canadian, and she's not going to go to another team!  And so much more can be said about her character and demeanor.  Awesome!

My son is a big basketball fan also and he had seen a comment online the other day that said "Yeah great, I suppose now Bianca will go play for the Clippers"!

GO BIANCA GO..she didn't do so well in Melbourne but is sure beating them in Miami.

Barty will be a hard game but they said that about the others  GO BIANCA GO

She's a hometown girl first from Thornhill and now Mississauga.

We lived in Thornhill/Richmond Hill for 33 years....did I say GO BIANCA GO  biggrin

I'm not a fan of tennis but if the Raptors keep up the season they're having I might even start liking tennis.

What, a 53-point win over GSW isn't enough?  biggrin

The last two Andreescu matches were nailbiters, and really showed how tough she is.  Really impressive.

It is so great to see her back near the top of her game. She plays so aggressively you always wonder what percentage she is at physically. Definitely one of my favorites to watch.

Ya, that was great. Missing Powell but Trent is making me feel a little better about the trade.

Watched that flippin' between the Rublev and Hurkacz match. Men's final Sunday.
