Welcome here. That looks like a beautiful car.

If your questions don't get answered before I have some time later today, I can help with many of the questions.

The most important one is for the chassis parts. Order chassis parts for a 65 Impala. If you order for 65 Pontiac you will likely get the wrong parts from many of the suppliers.

Welcome from Canada's east coast!

Canada to Greece (Corfu), and back to Canada. Quite a round trip! Nice car! Looks to be in great shape ... especially the chrome/trim!

 1) Your 1965 Laurentian chassis is identical to a 1965 Impala, Bel Air or Biscayne. If you undo the body mounts and lift the body off the frame, you would not be able to tell if it was a Chevrolet or a Pontiac. So any time you are ordering parts, just think about if it's a part of the car that would remain on the ground and lifted up the body. If it would be on the ground, it's a Chevrolet part you need to order.  In North America a very popular place that many people order from is Rock Auto. I don't know if they will ship to your or not but you could check.

2) It sounds like your Pontiac has the engine that we usually refer to as the 230. Most parts places won't list it in liters. What parts do you need? Tune up parts? Or do you plan to rebuild the engine?

3) For the body parts, likely the 2 best places to search would be on this site, or on Kijiji in Canada. Are you familiar with Kijiji?

4) The wiring for these cars is a bit tricky. It's not the same as Chevrolet and it's not the same as the US Pontiacs. It's similar to the Chevrolet in 65 but there are some differences. Do you need new harnesses, or just some parts?

5) The jack for the window, do you mean the mechanical linkage that raises and lowers the windows in the doors? If so, we call that a window regulator and it would be the same as Chevrolet (Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne) for 1965. It might fit from a 1966 as well, I can check if you like.

By the way, it looks like your car has a rear power antenna. That is a really rare option.

George, a hardy welcome aboard from Milton, Ontario, Canada. Your 65 looks like a good solid beauty and being your fathers car makes it so much more special. George most or all of your questions will be answered here by the brotherhood. Good luck with the restoration and you might want to consider making your car a Canadian Poncho feature car in the future. Cheers.

Try Rock Auto. This link will take you to 65 Chevrolet Impala, Suspension which is what you'd need.
