The Hyde Park and District Lions Club, Country Cruizin Thursday evening September 19,2019

This was the last event at the Punkett Estate for this year.

Absolutely beautiful night and the Lions Club announced that they will be back at the estate every Thursday night next season.

I got to drive the Pontiac across the wooden bridge !

About 300 cars showed up.

The 35 Chevy was the same model that my sister in-law's Parents had their first date in.

They had not been to a show for years.

My brother wanted to get them out tonight.

How could I say no !

My phone battery was dying so I concentrated on Ponchos an Chevys.

Sorry, no Ford pictures biggrin

There was a guy walking around with a really cool Cougar T-shirt.

I had to ask of course, Nope, no Cougar.

The Thunderbird Club was there but it seems there was only 50s Birds and the 2000s.

Nothing from our Cougar platforms !

I did have my eye out for the Canadian made Fords and Mercurys.

My brother was astonished how many Novas were there.

Some sweet looking rides there. I for one will miss the huge annual show that Steve use to have every year on his huge estate. I will take the 57 Chev two door wagon. Cheers.

Darn. I completely forgot about it. Was in Brantford building a front porch for my daughter.

I've been to 5 or 6 of these Lions club cruises at the Plunkett estate this summer and it's always a highlight.

I did speak to Steve Plunkett at the Cobble Beach Concours last weekend. He had a v16 Caddy there.
He didn't win as he was in the same class as an amazing, first time shown, 1917 Locomobile.

It's a bit depressing that the cruise season is coming to an end.

Next weekend is an awesome show in Welland, if the weather cooperates.

Regards, Scott (LandShark ...)
