Is that a brake pedal for a clutch setup? Judging by the interior colour I'd bet it was probably Saddle Tan new, but it could have been Cameo Beige. I'd love to see underneath the hood, the cowl tag & the underside. Factory 65's should have 12-bolts. Heck for that money I'd take a whatever 327 in place of the suspected 283, but it would be nice to outfit that car as you wanted. The SD convertibles are rare. That one has the hard-to-find body-side chrome, a big plus.

Ok so obviously this is a very very very low price for this special a car. So maybe a rotten mess under neath but i really doubt that, so what gives here. Why is this car priced cheap. Are our cars really worth nothing today.

My 63 Parisienne is worth quite a bit less than a similar condition 63 impala, I think that is true for most Canadian Pontiacs vs the equivalent Chev? Sorta like the same house value in Vancouver vs Montague, PEI. No difference other than price and nicer neighbors!!!
This is not a Chevelle. It would be nice to crawl around under it to see and body issues.
Old car prices in general are likely lower than say 5 years ago?

You've gotta tell me where you're looking, Don. Everything I look at seems higher... even over last year, and I've taken some screen shots of ads occasionally that remind me of this. And I'm not just talking all the $40,000+ cars either.
One of us may have Alzheimers MC, likely me. I have seen some prices up on newer stuff, say 70s and up, and down on the 50s and older?

LOL.... that would most likely be me, Don. Some days I can't remember that my head is on my shoulders till I look in the mirror!
It may come down to you being a 'glass half full' guy and me being a 'glass half empty' guy...
I do see good deals show up now and again, but to me it seems that just over the past year or two the number of decent $5K -$10K range has decreased greatly, and the number of $30K - $50K cars have increased. I try to be optimistic, but have found it frustrating to find a decent old car that doesn't need a complete restoration in the 'toy budget' range and not the 'mortgage' range, if you know what I mean. So, now the glass is half empty! lol
I should also say, I'm looking in the '68-ish to '74-ish range, which always seems to stay hot to this day. Though I am always open to a nice '58 - '67 as well, as long as they are serviceable, and not rust buckets. Patina is OK, but not bondo buckets or completely butchered/torn up - I'm an OEM kind of guy, as I have loudly asserted on this forum many times over... lol Always open to 4-doors and wagons as well, as long as they are decent. In fact in the 5-10K range, you mostly find 4-doors around here. I tend not to look outside the maritimes because I want to be able to actually see, drive and pay for the car myself. Once you get outside of a few hours drive it gets complicated, and I have found over the years that everybody has a different opinion of what 'rusty' means or more aptly - 'no rust'. Yeah, I'm a little fussy, sometimes my own worst enemy, actually!
And FWIW, if that price range means I can't be too fussy, then I'm in the wrong hobby and it's time to start looking at other things (like newer cars that are at the bottom of their depreciation, but not rusty). Or, just be satisfied with what I have and take up another hobby (of which I have many, just not enough time to do them all)...
I should also say, I'm looking in the '68-ish to '74-ish range,
True, "old man" cars.

Still a decent price for a turn key ragtop. And yes that looks like 3 pedal setup brake pedal. Would be a nice Z16 Beaumont clone............thinking outside the box.

All panels replaced, trunk etc. Frame is patched. Was a 6 powerglide, now a 327 powerglide.
I'm hoping to get someone to check it out.
So does it have a big block yet Carl?

Haha, not yet and I don't think it's coming to Manitoba. My scout says it's a pretty straight, nice looking car but it's patched and patched and patched.
