Speaking of its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. I just recently got a copy on DVD of that zanny movie with not only countless vintage cars but also countless famous comics from the past. The movie is obviously dated but still worth watching today. Folks younger than 55 will not know any of the people in this film but may still enjoy seeing the cars. Cheers.

Still looks pretty solid for sitting all these years.  I wonder what the story is with it?

I generally have an open mind about car design but this design does not agree with my eye sight.

You're not alone, George, a lot of people have aversions to Virgil Exner's last designs for Chrysler.  I appreciate them for their uniqueness and I suppose 'wildness' of design.

I think if designs from other companies had not taken a more conservative direction starting in '61/'62, it's possible that they could have gained more traction with the public, as design appreciation is purely subjective, and usually is successful because of intangibles (like today's dumb, most popular hairstyle...).  History shows that it did not gain acceptance, however.
