Google can recognize license plate numbers in photos. Go to Google and enter some old plate numbers from cars you owned. After the search select "Images" and if you ever posted a photo to a website of your car with your plate number showing, there's a good chance that photo will show up. I entered my first plate number and a photo of a car I used to have that I posted on here a while back was the first photo that came up on the search.

Note to self, "get James Bond license rotator." Also consider another career besides bank robber.

(Said in jest) biggrin

As far as the reader that Google is using, cops also have a reader. It reads everything it can, to the point where it drives the officers crazy.

I can see your point....but not much good(thumb) when someone else takes a pic of your car at a car show etc and posts it.

I tried my plate but it didnt come up. Maybe because its a year of manufacture plate and the number format isnt the same as current plates.

I took my Strato Chief today when I went to the dentist. My dentist is a very minor car nut and quite a character. Middle of two fillings, my mouth is full of clamps, brackets and that wonderful rubber dam......He looks out the window, sees my plate, says to the nurse "Look at his plate". They are both having a good laugh and he turns to me and wants me to explain what my plate is all about. Umm, kinda tough with a mouth full of metal Bob...........!

Anyway, not a Fake_66 in sight on Google. I was sure it would show up somewhere from it being on this site but nope.

Actually I mean that.  Unless I missed the posts, you've only posted a few pics of your car that I've seen, now that it's finished.

And, I'm being silly in that it will mean more Google hits for your plate number... biggrin

Hmm, ok, maybe next time it's out I'll try to take a bunch of pictures. Now that you mention it I guess I haven't really taken many pictures of it.

No pressure, Carl!  I respect your right to not take pictures if you don't feel the need.  smile
