Pontiac 421 engine parts

I know it's a long shot but I need a set of forged Pontiac connecting rods and a set of .030 over 421 forged pistons. I can find parts in the US but the shipping and duty is a killer. Just bought a set of .030 over forged TRW pistons so now I only need the rods. Well that and another 2 grand in parts.

Rods are on order thru my engine builder. Thanks for the help and advice.

Bill

if shipping and duty is holding you back, can I respectfully suggest that you reconsider the need for forged rods?

The OEM cast Pontiac rods have proven to be quite durable, so unless they have been recut too many times I would see no cause for concern (re)using stock cast rods.

Just my opinion :)

Thanks for the info. The issue with my engine is a mismatched set of rods. 6 cast and 2 forged. So have to go state side to get parts. Not putting this engine back together with cast rods or pistons. Motor is too valuable.
