Here is an article in Hemmings about a gentleman who made his life mission to collect Automobile literature. 

Often see request from members for specific printed data.

I bought stuff off him back in the 80's and I bet many others here as well bought from him. In those days when Hemmings was our "internet" he was the one who had everything literature related and he was great to deal with. That is sad to see.
