Haven't seen one of these in a long time - '67 GMC camper van

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/cape-breton/1967-gmc-van/1473145480

Looks just painted... even the tires.  Presume the original plan was to put new tires on after painting?  Have not seen one of these in a dog's age, but have to admit TEN MILLION DOLLARS seems a little stiff on the price!  biggrin

Description

1967 van long wheel base run and moves make a reasonably offer van come from BC no emails

This generation of Chevy vans replaced the Corvair van. It looks like someone gave up on finishing off the restoration. This van has the very rare colour matching tires. I like these Chevy vans but a serious collision would be something very scary with your legs and feet where they are.

Not worth a penny over 8 million in my humble opinion.

The rare colour matching tires makes this worth at least that much.

It looks like a new paint job, but what's the big mark at the forward part of the right rear wheel opening?

Looks like it might be a "Bondo Buggy".

Look at the pictures closely, there are a lot of irregularities under that quick spray job.

Dad had a 68.......The way those things handled, I can't imagine how squirrely it would be when top heavy like that.

I haven't seen one of those in a year (surprisingly not 40 years). Last year a friend bought a '67 Sportvan with a 283 Powerglide out of California.

I remember one of those Sportvans new with a raised fixed roof for camping. Pop-up is the way to go.

Probably handles as good as a VW camper, air cooled models? But a lot faster, if that is good? Be fun in a 60 kph side wind? It likely has enough bondo to hold it down and lower the center of gravity a bit.

I don't know, paint jobs today can be expensive. Besides that's probably in Canuck bucks....it's only a $1,000 in US

 Maybe it's Canadian Tire money?

When I was an apprentice one of our customers had a 69 work van with a 327 three on the tree. I put a fuel pump on it and road tested it. Lots of power, but squirrelly to drive due to the weight distribution. Not much weight on the rear wheels.
