The 67 and 68 frames are almost identical

I used these specs when I did my frame of on my 67 Impala.   Primary reason for using the 68 Specs as that I had found a 68 station wagon that had the 4 piston calipers and it was an easy choice.

When I got the 67 we welded some channel iron down the sides of the cheezy condition of the frame.

3 years later i got a call about the 68 going to the wreckers on  the day i got the call about it.

Was an easy switch as there was only a mount at the rear that didn't line up.

I have a 69 frame and also know of a 67 frame. 69 is from a 2dr Strato Chief and the 67 is from a Caprice.

Cant recall when GM changed the steering.

65-66 frames had the idler arm in a different place.

I had a good 70 frame a couple years ago that didn't sell so I chopped it up and it went to the metal recycler. This fall I sold a good 70 convertible frame to a guy by Hamilton.

Yes, the Canadian B-body Pontiac's were built on a Chevrolet B-body frame. A US Pontiac frame is different.

The theory is the frames go in 2 year batches. 65-66, 67-68 and 69-70. I have heard of a few where a 70 frame was used under a 67 for example. For 65-66, the idler arm is in a different place.

So, ideally you're looking for a 67 or 68 frame, but a 69 or 70 will work.
