drive train reseal

Yesterday some friends came over and gave me a hand to remove the hood from my 63(it's never been off) because today I'm starting the re&re of my motor and tranny. I would like to find a stock air breather assly for this car and after some rooting around online I've come up with a few pics of the one I think it is.Mine would have the 2bbl base of course. I did get a 64 4bbl version that belonged to the AFB set up that came with the car. I have a stock 300hp 327 cast iron intake with a new edelbrock 1406 on it and an aftermarket drop base air breather with a spacer for clearance. The lid on the stock assly I have is good but the base has had the snorkel cut down and a rectangular hole cot in the side of it for some reason.I could restore this I guess and get the adapter to run this on the 1406.....I will probably run the 4bbl again next season( I still need a correct operating 2bbl and manifold). I don't think I could get collector plates with my present breather..It seems that all the years had subtle differences and also Chevy is different(impala) as well as american differences..I will post these pics and would appreciate any input .The last pic in this group is 64 I think. This is the 4bbl base I have with the cut and the hole....Screenshot (55).pngScreenshot (56).pngScreenshot (57).pngScreenshot (52).png
