World Juniors

Canada Wins Gold in world Junior Hockey, way to go Juniors.

Was an excellent game. Well maybe a few bad calls by some refs, but they are human as well

Payback for a 6-0 loss early in preliminary rounds.

Yes, congratulations to our boys. That was as exciting a game as a person could hope for. Really surprised when that last penalty wasn't called when the cleared puck hit the camera as the odds would have been tough but they sure kept their cool. Greatest game on earth.

Congrats to our junior team.
This tournament is one that I eagerly anticipate each year having attended 2 live. Have also applied for a ticket package for next year in Alberta.

Regarding the puck over the glass and hitting the camera. My daughter, who is a carded referee, immediately texted me and said the camera is considered part of the glass. This before the on-ice officials had made their final indication.

They were saying at the end of the coverage that in this set of rules, anytime the puck hits the scoreboard or any other piece of equipment it's not considered a delay of game, and therefore not eligible for penalty.   And, it seemed apparent that there wasn't any intent on putting the puck out of play, not that this would have changed anything had it not hit the camera...

If it hadnt hit the camera it would be an automatic delay of game as it had already headed out without touching the glass. Commentators said the camera is mounted behind the line of the glass so to me that would be an automatic penalty. Seems like there were existing house rules at the beginning of the tournament that took care of it. I thought for sure we would be down 2 players and my guess would be about a 70% chance you give up a goal and they probably would have still pulled their goalie for a 3 man advantage. I think we dodged a bullet there. Great, great game though. No NHL game this year could come close.

Great to see them bring out the 8 Ontario Junior team players before the leaf jets game. Fantastic game too with jets the victors in the shootout. Jerel said it, the greatest game.

The right call, if the puck hits anything- no penalty.

Even in NHL rules, recently an Oilers game the puck was going up over the glass and one of the coaches grabbed it - no call
