One, how does your V8 Positive battery cable run? and how is it clipped to the frame and or along the oil pan rail. Purist originals only please. Pics welcome. Must be a V8 car
Two, Do you have a small plastic clip on your firewall between the top of the fuse block and the bottom screw of the wiper motor. A funny looking plastic clip the holds the wire harness and the washer hoses. there would be a hole in the firewall for the clip to pop into. All my 64s have one, but this 65 does not even have a dipple or a hole. should be no change between a 6cyl and a V8 for this one
Any and all photos welcome
This is the first time doing a 1965 beaumont, man are there a ton of insignificant details different from the numerous 1964 beaumonts i have built

Yup, all my 64s have those too. 2 of them, one near the motor mount, and one around the idler mount, but my original 1965 V8 car does not, could just be missing
thanks

very interesting, that is the same way as mine, i guess it was hit and miss in 1965. Maybe they kept running out of supplies on the line.
I know my car has not got the factory quality of all my other 64s, thats for sure. i guess everyone on the assembly line was slipping by the second year of production!

If it is like my '67, whether it came with a standard or T60 h.d. battery will change the cable orientation. Post will be on opposite sides std. vs h.d. Standard battery ran the battery with the + Pos outboard near the fender & - Neg inboard near the rad. The T60 h.d. battery ran opposite to that, at least in '67. It affects cable routing & clips.

Yes, you are right Cam. In the 64/64 the clips are the same, just the cable lengths and routing that is different. I think the HD neg terminal also had a small jumper ground to the fender as well.
