Neat car! I don't suspect the 427 was really all that rare in the wagon (inc US built). A lot of guys wanted to tow trailers with these rigs.

Very cool car. As delivered it was an LS1 335 HP version with single exhaust and drum brakes. I would expect the LS1 was more common than the L36 390 HP engine in these wagons.

I find it interesting that it has drum brakes in front. It's a big, heavy car that in my opinion needs FDB, but although many were delivered with discs in 69, you also see uniquely optioned cars (e.g. green 69 Caprice recently for sale in Quebec that had 350/300 HP 4 speed power train with front drums, and my own 69 Parisenne LS1 that came with many options including N10 dual exhaust, but not front disc brakes).

Nice car was restored here in Calgary a number of years back, sold a couple years ago at the Okotoks collectors car auction to the Jack Carter Group of Companies.

Has been for sale since, (3) times on eBay staring bid of $25,000. USD, no takers.

The wheel combo hurts the car though.

Agreed on the wheel thing, a total deal buster, especially for the price. Maybe i am out of touch with the times, but that price seems barrett jackson non reality priced.

For the money I'll take this one and do a interior change back to stock.......I don't need the 427.

had the identical (dark green on green) wagon loaded with AC and 350 / 300 hp. I had disc brakes but they were still an option in 1969. Great car! Traded on a 1972 with the 400 /4bbl (same options). Worst car I ever owned for gas consumption.

I have (had) the same Kingswood as yours. 350/300 with T350, AC and PDB except its frost green. But now it has a 396/T400 removed from a 69 Caprice. For me it has to be a big block, but that 300 hp small block is a good engine too.

And I agree: the wheels on the yellow Kingswood don't do it any favours. But its still a very desirable car.
