I have a fresh batch of tachometers ready to go. These are new tachometers and cups that are a great lower cost alternative to the very cool, but expensive original tachs for our 65-66 full size Pontiacs. The tachometers are new Super Tach II's but have had a face transplant and look fantastic. These are a great tach and unlike the originals, these are more accurate and work great! The cups are new reproductions that I worked with Ian Buchan from Australia on. Those in the know will recall his reproduction cups that were made from brass and were awesome, but heavy. These are made from aluminum and are fantastic!! They are nickel plated however vs chrome, but were done to a high quality so you are not likely to notice the difference once installed. My entire hope was to try and make a good, reliable alternative to the rare original tachometers, that was affordable to most people in the hobby and that is what we have here! The originals still have their place on high end builds or cars that are all original, but these are priced at US$275 shipped in the US. The price includes the tach and cup as well as shipping in the US. I have sold over 50 of them with all happy customers and no reported issues to date. Add 8.50 if paying paypal for goods to cover fees. For those that don't have a US shipping location, figure $267 + actual shipping. Boxes are 2lbs 6"x6"x8" in size.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Thanks guys! If anyone is interested in trading on this deal, I could use 66 GP CS 2 dr ht door trim for the passenger side. I actually need 2 of them to complete sets and I have another Pontiac brother that needs a passenger side as well. Other Items I would trade for would be 65 or 66 NOS or super nice chrome items (headlight, grills, tail light bezels), 65 vac gauges and I guess any other cool 65-66 full size items that work for the US cars.

Do they have a redline Brad? I see with and without.
As far as I understand, the different year tachs dictate whether they have a redline or not ... so I've heard

Same thing I've read although common belief is that the later 65 cars got the 66 tach with the redline. I can't recall the changeover period but I'm sure Brad will know and hopefully chime in. I have it in my head that it's thought they went to the redline around May 65?

My understanding is that the redline was added midyear in 65. The GTO guys believe it was some time between February and May. There is also some discussion that would suggest if they still had greenline tachs, they would have simply used up the stock they had before they changed over, so you could have a later built car in 65 and still have a greenline depending on where it was built and what stock they had in the greeline tachs. Further, if you had to have one replaced under warranty after the change over, you likely got a redline. I thought I recalled seeing a service bulletin on the tachometer redline change over, but am not finding it right now.

Just follow the directions in the top post of this thread.
I have never met Brad but I've seen enough of his dealings that I feel very safe in saying he will take good care of getting this done for you Dave.
