'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Back in the 70s the brother of a friend had a 64 Parisienne two door hardtop with a 327 and a four speed. It was kind of a pink colour and was driven into the ground. It was just an old car back then and went for scrap after the frame broke from rust.
darn reminds me a lot at least color wise as my C/S vert yes I miss it ..if this car was closer I don't think I could pass it up...very nice !! and nothing wrong with price
It does look like a nice car and good value by the pictures, but I'd have to see it and check out the trunk interior and other rust prone areas to access it. The trunk interior tells the true story most of the time with these cars.

does anyone know how many were produced with 4 speeds? I know there is one member on this site with one but it seems like the only one I know of
Pritch's red CS convertible has a factory 4-speed, if that is the one you mean?
Brian (Magician) has Bill's (A421cat) red factory 4-speed coupe. Brian used to own a '64 409 CS 4-speed coupe.

LOL... but Darryl, the only thing better than having a '64 CS is having two of them! :)

I need to look... I may still have a GM Vintage Vehicle Report on this car. I didnt actually see the vehicle but I had done some extensive research on it with the previous owner. (pre-2014) There was a member on this site who also followed up on this within the last couple of years. I will post if I can find
Now I remember why I didnt follow through. The paint code and the pictures didnt match. Now if someone could show me how to properly post Pictures If bought at the right price, a talented person could turn this into a desirable vehicle
Yes it was me who was also looking at this car. Actually got in touch with the appraiser who remembered the car and advised me not to pay too much as the rear quarters would need work for a NB safety inspection and most likely the same for Ontario. I made an offer on the car but turned out the car got sold for a higher figure. If I can remember the asking price back then was $12,000.00. I offered $9,000.00. Double D was kind enough to fill me in with some info on the car and the GM info package as he has now just posted. Bob.

On a separate thread recently we discussed the X09 option speedo adapter. I see this car also has a option G80 Rear Axle: Positraction ( limited slip differential ). Are the 2 related?

I would think the addition of the speedometer adapter is dependent on the axle ratio. I dont know what the standard axle ratio for this power train combination, but I have seen the speedo adapter on pickups in the 1970s with 3:73 rear axle ratio and it being absent on trucks with 2:73 ratio axles.

I don't know, but my '64 Custom Sport has X09 along with G80.

I'd like to understand more about the X09 as well,
I think the early transmissions (pre 65) might have been limited to a 6 tooth count steel speedometer drive gear.
Correct me if wrong, was it also only paired with a 20 tooth steel driven gear? So ratio changes outside the 6/20 were done externally with the X09 adapter unit.
It wasn't until 65 when the 8 tooth drive gear came into play, and with that also came a wide assortment of plastic driven pencil gears. So a wide ratio change could be easily made with a driven gear change.
