Back in '78-'79 there was this eccentric fellow who was a body man who had this '67 Camaro SS 4 speed car- a true Royal Plum Mist code car-that he use to race around the East Kootenay's and one day while sitting outside his "shop" talking to his brother asked him if he would help him turn said Camaro into a station wagon while looking at the Vista Cruiser that was parked across the street sitting by the railway tracks. 90 days later they had it in the World of Wheels in Calgary with several 1st place trophies going home with the car. Somewhere in my possession I have the only picture of that car just after it was completed. I was 16 when I first saw that car and thought is was the neatest thing I had ever seen. I ended up working for him years later.
The car was painted Orange with layers of lace curtain pattern. He built a hood from an L88 design with an L82 on top of it. The car has widened fenders to except the 15x8 G-60's up front and N-50 Pro Trac's in the rear. The powertrain consisted of an LS7 turbo 400 12 bolt rear. The engine compartment was done in stainless steel sheeting including under the hood. Yes it was bright!!!. All the glass was blackened out with the words "67 Camaro" etched into the upper side glass on the wagon part. He then relocated the fuel door to the rear and used a '68 Charger gas lid. On the sides of the hood scoop he painted the name of the car which was "The Sunburst". I wish I could find that picture.......I put it somewhere safe.........

The pic in the ad shows a PEI plate, and very PEI-like countryside including reddish-looking mud plowed from the road shoulder into the snowbank...
FWIW, this car looks like it has had fantastic workmanship done to it, but IMHO the wagon addition isn't well integrated into the body. If the rear roof could have continued a downward taper and the taller rear side window could have been trimmed down a bit to match the stock side window line of the Mustang, it would have looked a lot better.
It's actually kind of a neat idea, but the '69 Mustang doesn't give you much room to improve on an already clean design, so it's extremely hard to not have it look like an add-on...
I haven't seen the car. In the first pics with the GT Wheels it has a dealer plate on it. Looks like the guy was a Husky breeder (cage in the back, "Husky Hauler" stickers on the side)
The seller (Bullitt) had another high end Mustang for sale a while ago. I can't remember exactly what it was though.

There's a guy outside Kensington that is a Rustang freak. He has a Shelby GT 500 INSIDE his house.

When I was a kid, there was a farmer near Kensington who bought a new model T, took it home and kept it in the living room. His wife said, either the car goes or I go. She went. He used to drive the car every Saturday into summerside and Id see him while I was at the Pontiac dealer with my Dad, AE MacLennans. I heard the Ford dealer got the car after he died, may still have it.

I worked with a guy who built a big block Chevy in his parents living room in his younger days. His Mom didnt get upset with him until he covered up the engine to keep dust from getting into it! :D

There is an old guy that drives a Model T to Kensington's car show yearly. The car is untouched (except for very rudimentary repairs) and has been in his family since his birth. He learnt how to drive with that car and his Father passed and gave it to him. I had pictures of it but can't find them at the moment. One of front fenders was dinged, pounded back out, and the crack brazed a long time ago ... it gives the car great character.

Nice attempt but no. At first I thought Pinto back glass but then I realized Gremlin with Sportabout rear side glass. From some angles it almost works but from others, well, the design team would have been sent back.
The Mustang looks to be a coupe. Maybe it was rear-ended, ya, first by a Hornet & then a Gremlin. They do make roof conversions to convert a coupe into Sportsroof style. I've always liked those Mustangs.
One of the few coupes cum station wagons to successfully make the transition tastefully would be the Volvo 1800ES.
