My lady and i would like to take in some automotive museums in the Detroit area.

I put this question to the C.P. brotherhood. What interesting automotive museums are in the Detroit, Mich., U.S.A. area. My lady and i were thinking of a one to day trip checking out car museums. I know that many have been closed down but is it still worth going there for what is left to enjoy. Any thoughts on the matter would be very greatly appreciated. Cheers. smile

The Ford Museum,Tour the F-150 Plant,The Gilmore Museum,The Carhartt store in an old Caddy dealer.Drive around the Old Packard Factory.Some of the things we have done.

 I have done the Henry Ford Museum about seven or eight times since i first went there in 1989. These other places, i will have to look into. Thanks.

I appreciate all the recommendations here. I have been learning about a number of good possibilities to visit. Some are in the Detroit area and others are just outside the area. I might need three days to do it though. My goal is to do this this coming June.
