Which Rims for the Bonneville?

I will need new tires for certification, so I may as well change the rims at same time if I can get a deal...

Im thinking between either one of these? Not sure? What do you think?

What year is your car? Remember it'll likely be a 5 on 5" bolt pattern.

1966 Bonneville. Those rims both should fit.

Don't they now reproduce the 8 lug? They always look cool however I guess you'd need to keep the drum brakes up front.

I don't think the VN506 would suite your car.

I imagine repro 8-lugs would cost $$$.

If to choose, it would have to be the AR105.

Ouch! Cragars are kind of pricey

https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/crr-61815

The AR105 in 5 - 5 " are 17", but still a decent price.

The wheels posted above look like they have too much positive offset for you car.

I tried plugging in your vehicle info and only one wheel comes up as fitting your car:

https://www.summitracing.com/search/year/1966/make/pontiac/model/bonneville/department/wheels-tires/section/wheels/part-type/wheels

And actually I think they would look good:

My point is to make sure you check more than just bolt pattern and wheel diameter before ordering.  Offset/backspacing is important as well.

Nice wheel Mark. Decent price, kind of like a blacked out Cragar. But that listing is for 14".

Here's a 15 x 8, 5 on 5", 4.25" BS in the same style.

 I like that rim!!

I searched on Canada wheels and tires and the other ones came up?

This one they might not have had. But I like that one!!

Yeah it looks like it's only available up to 15" diameter, which would be OK for me.  I'm kinda getting tired of the big wheel/low profile tire look.

No real tire choice anymore in 14 anyway.

I dont want a low profile look either. That's why I'm looking at a 15 or 16...

On their site they have these available in 15, 17, 18 and 20, though no 16s.  I like the 463s better though (not that it matters what I like... lol).

16" is becoming obsolete, just like 14".

Honestly though Mike, as much as I know you hate it when I'm realistic about your project, I'd use that money to get the car roadworthy and then start worrying about wheels!

Yep. Focus. I hate to be a buzz kill, but refer back to this thread:  https://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/t66331183/confused-on-where-to-start-the-project-now/

It's always nice, and maybe even inspiring to see a work in progress sitting on new shoes.
